Edgar Allen Poe's suddenly not so scary...

Paige has been crazy about Princess Aurora lately. We have a little story book of it, and the other day we watched it, but I think the best part was when she realized that Princess Aurora was on the nightlight the boys got her last Christmas.

The thing that makes me laugh EVERY time, though, is when she first sees Maleficent -- "Mecet -- yikes!" and she used to say "birdie", but now it's... "raisin!"

And that's why Edgar Allen Poe's suddenly not so scary...
"Quoth the raisin, Nevermore!"

Where do they come up with these things? Quoth the Paiger, "Nevoo Mo?"

That certainly does take some of the scariness away--who's afraid of a silly old raisin, anyway? Sounds like she has her dad's gift of making up words!

Hehehehee! I was wondering why she kept talking about shriveled grapes the other night when I was reading Sleeping Beauty to her (or, as Parker once called it, Heaping Poopie, or Heaving Booby. Yikes!).

I would have liked to have heard the poem about a raisin flying around! It's funny what kids will say before they can really talk!

This is totally off the subject but not really...

One of my friends thought that there were these three really famous authors that everyone seemed to talk about in the same sentence: Edgar, Al, and Poe. What's with these three guys, anyway? :)

I don't know... Raisin's are kind of scary, especially when someone puts them in cookies... :O

I remember Parker's rendition of sleeping beauty. Joel and I looked at each other and tried not to laugh. Yes, we are still teenage boys at heart ;)
