Stewart's First Month of Writing

In First Grade at Westside Elementary, the kids have writing notebooks for each month -- lined paper with a little space above each entry for a picture. If I had a scanner, I would totally scan some pictures in -- but I don't, so you'll have to come over and see how cute they are! :) But the writing is just precious! Here are his September entries (please note that all spelling and punctuation is left uncorrected on purpose):

- I got bedr at Reeding (I think the prompt was "What can you do better now than when you were in Kindergarten?")
- I like to plAY the wii

I love this kid's imagination!! When I get to heaven, I'm totally going to watch what inspired some of these entries -- especially about the porcupine hiding the needle!

My gosh, that picture of him playing T-ball! He looks so grown up! And those writings are so honest and precious. Loved it!

He is one handsome and witty big guy, with both of his parents' creativity and imagination. So cute!

Loved the post! I really enjoy writing before all the originality and talent in figuring out how to spell phonetically is rubbed out of their mind through rote memorization. Of course, if he was 20 and still writing like this, it wouldn't be as cute, so I guess I'm glad for the extra teaching, but enjoy the kid posts when I can. :) Thanks for sharing!
