Baby Names

Joel and I can never decide on baby names until we see a real, live baby. I don't know if it's something in the eyes, or what, but there have been times when we were REALLY sure we had the perfect name for our baby, only to look at that baby and say, Wow -- that is not the name for our child! So, we decided to ask the kids what they would like to name our new baby -- just to get some ideas. Here's what they came up with: Parker -- Sakari (a girl he's had a crush on for the last couple of years) Stewart -- Katara or Keeyah (a girl in a book he's reading, The Secret of Droon) Paige -- Princess Peach. Or Piglet. Seriously??? The last couple of days she's also suggested Charlotte or Rose. Or Trixie. A-hem. Kimball -- Baby. Little surprise that we won't be using any of these names, and that some of my children may not be allowed to name even their own children -- especially Paige, who said Princess Peach or Princess Leia would be the name of her first daughter. Yikes! For right now, we're leaning towards Ivy Kate. But don't be surprised to get a baby announcement from us with the name Uniqua on it!
