Hilarity

Last night we were just being goofy at dinner, and I started singing a song medley from Junior High -- it was about 2 1/2 minutes long, and condensed at that! I was pretty pleased with myself, until Parker said... "One of us should have left the room." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For those of you interested, the song went like this: OOOOOOOk-lahoma, Where the wind comes rushin' down the plain, And the wavin' wheat Can sure smell sweet When the wind comes right behind the rain I could have danced all night I could have danced all night And still have begged for more There ain't nothin' like a dame Nothin' in the world There is nothin' you can name That is anything like a dame A dame... a dame... When I get a brand-new Hair-do With my eyelashes all in curl I float as the clouds on air do I enjoy being a... I'm just a girl who cain't say no I'm in a turrible fix! I always say, "Come on, let's go" Jist when I orter say "Nix." (fyi, this was my SOLO in this piece) We're your dream girls, boys We'll make you happy We're your dream girls, bo-o-oys We'll always care And all you gotta do is-- All you gotta do is dream And we'll be the-e-ere We're your dream girls *scream* He's there, the Phantom of the Opera Beware, the Phantom of the Opera --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And that's all I can remember.

Oh yes, that generational thing! Joel and Kevin used to say "Mom, don't sing!" when Patty did stuff like that. I do love your medley, even if Parker has no culture.

You go, girl! Keep singing even when everyone's a critic--it brings joy to life and families! I loved your medley--all of those songs are SO fun.

Nat! i totally remember this, holy cow, i could have sung almost as much as you (and, in fact, sometimes i do). man, i've got that and "it's rough, rough, rough, rough being a dog" stuck in my head entirely too often!
