Avatar: The Last Airbender
We are big fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender around here. Even Kimball loves to watch "Taww!" This is a cartoon series (3 seasons of 20-odd episodes each) about a bunch of kids who are out to save the world. The humor and drawing style are definitely anime, and the story lines are pretty fun, although sometimes they can be a little convoluted or a little more world-religion than we usually talk about in our house. An example? The other day, Parker was explaining the basic story: "Mama, Aang is the reincarbonation of the Avatar." The thing is, he's right!

We love Avatar too! Did you guys see the movie? If you love the cartoon, the movie's a little disappointing. It lost a lot of charm in the transition from cartoon to reality. But the cartoon Aang is our FAVORITE! We love the show :)
I've never seen the cartoon, but I know one thing: If we would all stop getting reincarbonated we would be a lot healthier!
Parker definitely has his Dad's ability to invent new words--"That bush sharped me," and other Joelisms! Love it!
