Picture update

I haven't taken very many pictures these last couple of months, but here are a few just for fun!

The last day of March, Kimball decided to wear a "helmet" -- this is actually Parker's BYU hat, but it worked great for Kimball's little face to peek through.

---------------------------------

April was Grandparent's Day for the 1st graders -- so Stewart got some special letters from all his grandparents, including the CUTEST picture of Grandma Smith before she was even thinking about being a grandma! Mom was the only one who got to come down, but she didn't mind not sharing. :)

---------------------------------

Easter Sunday was such a beautiful day -- I couldn't have asked for a better Easter! The weather was gorgeous, warm and sunny, we had a ton of fun, and the kids were great. For Easter I got everyone something new -- shirts for the boys, a dress for Paige, a tie for Joel -- and this is a bad picture, but I wanted to show that Mom & Dad got the boys BOOTS!

Isn't everyone just CUTE?

---------------------------------

That Friday, April 29th, my Aunt Deanne came over with her kids, and we all sat down in front of the Royal Wedding. I LOVED it!! The hats were amazing (good and bad!), the dress was beautiful, and they were so cute together! And speaking of cute...Her girls were in Princess costumes, so Paige and Kimball wanted to get something on, too. After trying on a Snow White dress-up, Kimball finally decided on this:

---------------------------------

Poor Stewart -- he went to the eye doctor on May 5th, and wouldn't you know it -- at the same age I had to get glasses, so does he. He's pretty cute, though, don't you think? He thinks they're SUPER cool!

---------------------------------

Sadly, we don't have a picture for the next one... on May 12 Stewart had First Grade Author's Night. Parker did the same thing last year, and it was pretty much the same deal, with different first-graders on display. They were hilariously funny, and we got to hear some great songs, including "Dr. Seuss, We Love You" and Stewart's favorite "A Book's a Magic Treehouse." Stewart got to hold up the letter "G" in the "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" song.

---------------------------------

On Tuesday, May 17th, Parker's class had an opera -- I had pretty low expectations, but it was actually REALLY great! It really was an opera -- no dialogue, just singing, and she got EVERY kids to sing. The story was all about how these princesses had a bunch of gold, and some nearby snakes wanted to have it (Parker was a snake!) so they decided to trap the princesses and steal the gold. And OF COURSE they enlisted the help of gummy skeletons... Their evil plan was foiled when some gummy bears (friends of the princesses) rescued the princesses and put them in prison. They had a change of heart, and then the princesses let them out of jail and shared the gold with everyone. The end! This is Parker the SNAKE -- Kimball thought "Pawkew 'cawy, Mama".

---------------------------------

Finally, Stewart came home yesterday with a personal alphabet book. Each letter had a two-page layout, with lots of places for him to practice writing both uppercase and lowercase letters. He also had four squares to write something that started with that letter. Here are a couple of pictures from the letter A page:
I wonder who he had in mind when he drew THIS picture???

And I thought this was pretty creative:

So, that's our update -- I hope I didn't miss anything too important!

Saw Stewart last night in his new glasses and figured out that he hadn't been ignoring me because he didn't like me, but because he couldn't see. He was the most friendly and outgoing little kid now. Oh, and I love the princesses and superman. And the nasty snake.
