The theme this month is to be thankful for all things.
Once there was a girl named Corrie. Her family was caught hiding Jews. Corrie and her sister had to go to a concentration camp with bugs in the beds. *pause for dramatic effect* Somebody smuggled a bible in and Corrie's sister read in the bible that we need to be thankful for all things, even the bugs. "How can I be thankful for the bugs!" said Corrie. "You need to find a way to be thankful for them" said Corrie's sister. The Nazi guards were afraid of the bugs so they got to keep their bible.
Corrie's sister died in the concentration camp, but Corrie survived and made it out.
This story relates to me because I was thankful for the challenge of becoming friends with a boy at school. He was really mean to me, and it was hard to become friends. Now he is my friend.
I bear my testimony...
note from Parker: I wrote that talk all by myself! My mom told me the story, but the rest came from me!
