Yes, the time has come for the annual giant snow hike. This time it's only Kevin and I as we trek somewhere up in the blowing snows of the Wasatch Mountains. With trusty gear (Kevin in his gleaming new stuff, me in his hand-me-downs) and snow shoes we will brave the cold and wild winter country to reach dizzying heights and capture priceless snow-choked pictures.
There is one sad thing about this. Parker, bless his little soul, took a kitchen chair, set it next to our computer armoire, climbed atop it, took down our new 10 mega pixel 4GB SD Card digital camera and managed to break it! Gah! (NOTE: after turning a digital camera on and the lens extends, pushing the lens back in forcibly breaks the motor. Who knew? ;-).
Despite this photographic setback, we will take a lesser camera and brave the frigid air! Currently the mountains are wonderfully smothered in snow so our pictures and experience should be a memorable. It should be a real fun-cool-awesome hike! (Emphasis on the cool)
Once we've returned, I'll post the best of the pictures so you can all see what you missed out on (I know, some of you are thinking: You're going to do what, and you used the word fun?! Admit it, deep down you love the primal confrontation between man and the elements... :)

FYI, we just got that camera -- less than three months ago!
The lesser camera he's talking about is ours... unless Kevin is willing to take his great one?
And, no. It's probably the only argument where Joel and I can't agree to disagree. The battle between man vs. nature holds no sway for me. *shiver* I'd rather be snuggled up in a blanket with some hot chocolate (or any chocolate, for that matter) and a good book!
