Poem for the Love of my Life

Posted by Joel

This is the poem I wrote for Natalie for her birthday:

At the end of day, in the closing dark
I remember that time, long ago in the park
Where a soft gentle word, spoke peace to my soul
Urged me not to leave, her who’d make me whole

A smile like sunshine, brightens all my long days
And touches her eyes, as heaven’s bright rays
A slow strong embrace, to feel her with me
The warmth of her breath, opens my soul to see

I live when I’m with her, as no time before
A bond from our maker, lifting us to soar
To the end of our days, the beginning of all
Journeying with her, through times we rise or fall

In my chest beats, my heart swollen full
For her whom I dream, to awake at her pull
Our lips brush gently, smiling ear to ear
Nothing’s impossible, with her standing near

I lOVE YOU Natalie!!!

Aw shucks, brother, that was sheer...er...poetry! Yeah! How sweet! Even more romantic than the epic love of the legendary Lae'sana and Davin--the paparazzi call them Lavin or Dae'sana or something...

Sounds as though you like her better than me. I'm crushed.
