April Fools!

So, every wife has to do this, right? It's practically a law. And this was just about the only year I could REALLY pull it off...

Plus, this April Fools I forgot to do anything. I even had great plans to dye our scrambled eggs (for dinner) green, but I forgot to do that, so this was it for the year...

I had a doctor's appointment on Thursday to figure out this postpartum business -- I just can't shake the baby blues. So, I called Joel up on Wednesday, and totally told Joel I didn't need to go because, guess what! I took a pregnancy test, and...!!! I never actually lied, but it was definitely the intention to deceive. He was a good sport about it, but he did say he'd kill me (I guess he lied, too!). He HAS been pretty stressed out, what with my bouts of postpartum hormones and Parker's naughty school days and work picking up about 40%. But I knew I'd never get a better opportunity.

I ended up going after all, and it seemed to help. I'm getting a handle on things. I hope Parker does soon, too!

I really hope that you all start feeling better soon and that things start going better as well. :() BTW, that was a NAUGHTY trick!

We didn't have names for these things when I was a kid. If we had problems we'd just go out and ride a stegosaurus or make fun of the raptors. Did I mention I walked to school barefooted in the snow and it was uphill both ways? Late April 1, I guess. Anyway, I do sincerely hope Parker gets over this phase he's going through and you feel better soon. And tell Joel we all go through this when the kids outnumber us 2 to 1.

Ha, ha, Grandpa S! He's SO much older than I am--we just went outside and watched the cowboys and indians chase each other. Thanks for the fun on Saturday night with the traditional "girls make apple pie while the guys go to Priesthood session." We love you!

I think what I said was: "You are SO going to get it!!!".

We pulled the same trick on Kevin and Deborah. Kevin fell for it (his smile was strained, because he knew how stressed out we've been). Deborah looked skeptical and didn't look surprised when Natalie said "April Fools!".
