So... when I have a bad day, I always think of this movie Joel & I watched once with Kevin, called "Hot Rod." It is LAME... don't watch it! But... it had the FUNNIEST part in it! [editorial comment: watching it again, this is not as funny as I remember, so maybe it was the lameness of the movie that made it so funny... That being said, Stewart still laughed] This guy is having a really bad day, and he's trying to "punch dance" his anger off... Hot Rod clip [editorial comment: If you watch it a few times, it definitely gets funnier! I recommend at least 3 times.]
Yeah, so, that's what NOT to do, I guess. Plus, I'm sure the drinking is totally not helping the situation.
Another fun thing to do when I'm having a bad day is to mock other bloggers/texters, as evidenced here in Hyperbole and a Half.
And let's not forget my favorite get-a-laugh blog, Windmill Watching. I usually have to read a few before I'm laughing my pants off with a gem like this. So true, little buddy. So true.
If all else fails, I try to get inspired. I'm actually uplifted by reading decorating blogs -- instead of feeling guilty, I feel like I'm doing research (although, I have to admit, I've done WAY more "research" than practical application). My latest find? The Nester -- a totally serene style I will someday try to emulate. I have no doubt it will happen... someday.
Last one: Love Actually. While some might find this a bit cheesy -- and let's be honest, it's dripping with cheesy goodness -- this was a really fun website that COMPLETELY inspired my 10-year-anniversary gift to Joel. Oh, yeah, he's totally enrolled in the "Date of the Month" Club!
Good luck, Christina -- I hope this helps YOUR bad day!

I used to drive around in my car and yell all my troubles as loud as I could. Then I grew up (this was at least two years ago). Now I give everyone I love a hug. Seems to work a whole lot better. And if it doesn't, then I CAN GO BACK TO THE YELLING!!!
You are creative, as always! Crying helps me, but the headache afterwards is no fun.
Omigosh, that Hot Rod clip was hilarious! And I love that hyperbole website, that poor alot creature :(
I punch random things too, but I usually end up hurting myself...
