So, I guess I never posted about this quilt, but it was the first of a series of baby quilts I've done. I FELL IN LOVE with this quilt! I made it just before Kate was born, and it was such a fun project, I've done several more, with variations!
And Kate totally loves her quilt, too!
And this is how she usually ends up...
She snuggles with it for every nap and at bedtime, and if she sees it, you'd better give it to her... or else! (Let's just say, there is LOUD crying involved.)
This is the whole thing -- I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!

The back is this gorgeous minky fabric. I backed Kimball's baby quilt in minky, and it was just so snuggly and soft! As soon as I saw this fabric, I knew that if my baby was a little girl I'd have to get it. It is a light pink textured minky (the same color as the light pink butterfly), but not with those little polka dots -- it's PAISLEY! And now that Kate is a part of our family, it's just so "her".
Everything about this quilt was fun -- the minky back, the cute little butterfly, the quilting -- just like Kate!

Minky? I don't know what that is, but it sounds real soft. Those pictures are just adorable.
Oh, she is so cute! I wish I could make blankets like you!
