Kids are FUNNY! (especially Kimball)

Kimball has been extra, extra hilarious lately.  I've noticed this with each of my kids around this age, but they always surprise me when they are so funny!  Here's a sampling:

A couple of months ago, completely out of the blue, he said,

"Mama, if we put pudding in the mailbox, then the mail lady come to give us our mail and she would drive up in her car and she would put her hand in the mailbox, and then she would say
'What in the WORLD?'
That would be SO funny."

About two weeks ago, Kimball was singing Christmas carols:

Caesar, Caesar
To be jolly
Fa-la-la-la-laaa, la-la-la-la
Troll the ancient aztec menu
Fa-la-la-la-laaa, la-la-la-la

A few nights ago, I was talking with Kimball, and all of a sudden, he said, a little nervously, like he was confessing something,

K: Mama, I think I was a Dad before. *blink* *blink*

Me: Oh, buddy, I don't think so.  Before we were born, we lived with Heavenly Father, and he had a big meeting, and he said he wanted us to be like him, so he sent us to Earth and we had to be tested.  And then you were a baby!

K: *relieved* Were you ever a baby?

Me: Yes, I was.  And do you know who my Mom was?

K: *shakes head*

Me: Grandma... B...

K: Baird!

Me: Yes!  And guess who Daddy's Mom was when he was a baby.

K: *points to me*

Me: *laughing* No, it was Grandma Smith!

K: *gasps*

Me: Yep, it's true!  And when you have a baby, then I will be a Grandma!

K:   ...

K: *close to tears* But then, who will be my Mom?

We had a sweet heart-to-heart that night about how I will always be his Mom, just like my Mom will always be my Mom.

The other day, he called out, "Parker... Parker... Paaaarker, don't smell in here!"

Guess where he was.
Yep, the bathroom.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He's been paying attention in Primary.  I think it was probably the substitute for his class, Sister Kellogg, who taught him this one a couple of weeks ago:

"Mama, when we make faces, those are remotions!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[after we had called him FIVE MINUTES before and he finally made it up the stairs for family prayer]

"Mama, I have a new trick!  It is going up TWO stairs and it is SO FASTER!"

Kimball is so funny, you never know what's going to come out of the kid's mouth!

Kids have a hard time with the simple fact that they will someday be adults. I've almost accepted it (he he).

What a hoot that young man is! And yes, parents-grandparents-babies, all too much for their minds to grasp--but hilarious!
