I've been wondering what to do this year for my piano recital, and HURRAY! I found this perfect piano candy mold!

I never thought I'd frequent wineandcake.com, but I guess there a first time for everything? They were the only store that carried anything like this that I could find on the internet, and since there are no candy stores in Utah Valley any more, I went for it. At only $2 apiece, they're such a great buy! Although I paid twice that for shipping, I guess. But I can use these for every recital I do from here on out. I LOVE to make (and especially eat) "temple mints" -- they were the only thing I HAD to have for my reception! -- and now I can make them once a year, at least! Hmmmm... maybe I'll invest in a couple of Christmas-themed ones, and then we can do that for our neighbors... the possibilities are endless!
A HUGE thanks to Mom for suggesting chocolates this year, and thanks, too, to my fellow piano teacher, Jacquie, for suggesting doing our own instead of buying them from a chocolate shop. I'm so excited to get started, and I just read that they're shipping today!

Wanna know something cool? Mom used to collect those candy molds from advent calendars (and who knows where else), and once or twice we actually made some little chocolates. It was fun! Once though, Mom and Kim and her friend made little crayons!! They were so cute, and my boys even got some. So fun!
Just a word to the wise. Find a good place to hide these from the chocolate monster. (Joel? Whatever gave you that idea?)
Hey now, I resemble that remark!
