Thumpety-thumpety-thumpety

by Natalie

My blogs lately have been so sad -- just a few quick words, and maybe a picture or two. I've been a little sick, and here are my symptoms:
Fatigue
Nausea that comes and goes
Aches and pains
Irritability

So, I went to the doctor, got my prognosis, and it looks like I'll be just fine, eventually. However, for the next seven months, I can't take any medications, have to take a huge vitamin daily, and just keep getting fatter and fatter. Then, around November 7, I'll lose a bunch of the weight, and take home a cute little baby for all my hard work!

Yep, last Friday I got to hear the heartbeat, which is the only for-sure sign of pregnancy. I've been pretty sure, because of the symptoms, which have been really awful this time. Is it because I'm so out of shape? because I have three other little ones? because I'm just not dealing with the hormone surges as well as before? because I've forgotten how hard this whole pregnancy thing is? I'm not sure exactly, but I'm always amazed at the sound of that little thumpety-thumpety-thumpety that goes so fast!

Is that why Boston is so....nauseating to you? Reminds me of Italy a little bit...

You know, it's kind of funny at work with guys when you talk about grandchildren. Everything is a contest. "How many do you have? Four? Is that all? I have twelve!" I always congratulate them on their superior numbers and then thank Heavenly Father for each one that I have. Sorry that it makes you feel a bit ill, but it will be wonderful to see one more very different son or daughter of our Heavenly Father make the grand entrance on Earth.

May I second the comments of my dear hubby! What a blessing to be adding to the family! I believe, like you've said, that sheer fatigue is the reason behind the symptoms, trying to keep up with the three busy cuties you do so well every day. Love you!

*sigh* Hooray for more little ones coming into the world! Give me a call Nat, if you ever need anything, my days aren't as busy as most. :-)

Thanks everyone!

Grandpa S -- yes, guys will be competitive. But I guess girls are, too, just in different ways. After all, my kids are better and smarter than anyone else's, right? :) Although I have to say, I don't really go in for a lot of that. I have a friend who is constantly comparing her daughter with another friend's, even though the girls are over a year apart -- she just needs to be better, for some reason. Just think -- those that have twelve are probably REALLY OLD!!! :)

Christina -- No, no, it's not Boston that makes me nauseas -- it's the book I read and lighting on the plane! I have to have bright light now, or I'm done for.

Grandma S -- thanks so much! It's nice to be able to be so close. You're always so supportive!
