Happy Halloweeny!

The kids were SOOOO cute this year! Mostly we rigged our costumes out of stuff we already had, but there were a few things I did to make costumes special.

The trick-or-treaters -- aren't they so cute?! This was just before the ward party (we were a little late, so some are still eating their sandwiches).

Parker -- Tony Hawk
See the "SK8R" on his pocket? Yeah, I added that -- but I think it totally works with the style of shirt, so we're keeping it even after Halloween. I think the edges will fray artistically in the wash. :)
This was before school Monday morning (the 31st), after he finally earned enough money for a REAL skateboard. He saved all month long and did tons of extra jobs, so I took him to Wal-Mart at 7:00 a.m. to buy it!

Stewart -- Harry Potter
Totally made his Hogwarts robes! He LOVED this costume -- I only wish I'd made it a little bigger so he could wear it longer.

Paige -- cutest cowgirl in the West
Pretty much the only thing I had to do for this little missy was her freckles!

Kimball -- pirate
You should hear him say "Arrrrrrr!" This kid was easy to please -- just give him a sword and he's happy with his costume.

Kate -- had three costumes. Not on purpose, that's just how it worked out! I made the Sunday dress for a Halloween party wedding reception we attended on Oct. 11th, and didn't finish the Dorothy dress in time for the ward party Saturday night, so she just had to go as she was, and Parker came up with her costume name when he realized she was wearing a red hoodie.

Little Red Riding Hood (Saturday)

"Granny" got her this cute little red hoodie -- how appropriate!

candy corn (Sunday)

Dorothy (Monday) -- Made the dress AND the shoes -- I'm so proud of myself! I just wish I'd made both a little bigger, they would have lasted a little longer.

I guess Parker is a famous skateboarder, huh? Great stuff. They're a lot of fun at their ages.

SO CUTE! But, are you sure Harry Potter is eating a sandwich? Because that sure looks like a pumpkin pasty to me. Dorothy is so cute and so different than I remember! Thanks for the post :)
