Bath-tisms Galore

Last week, we went to 2 baptisms -- both for Dallins! One for our neighbor, one for our cousin. At Dallin #1, Kimball was so, so excited that he asked,

"Mama, can I go see the swamp?"
[laughing] "Um, I think you mean the font, buddy."
"Oh, yeah."
I told him the baptism was about to start, so we couldn't go see it until a little later.

Three minutes later, the baptism hadn't started yet so he asked,

"Mama, can I go see the pond?"

Good work on the "aw" sound, buddy!

The kids loved going to two baptisms in a row. I had such a good talk with Stewart about how he was going to be baptised next in our family, and what that means for him. I love it when I have an impromtu opportunity to just have a one-on-one conversation with my little friends -- that's probably when I feel the most like a REAL Mom.

Love the Kimball-isms! And way to grab hold of a teaching moment, Mama!
