Eating habits of babies
Why is it, I wonder, that a baby (Kimball) will eat ANYTHING forbidden, dirt and garbage and dead moths... but not pasta? or rice? or (like Paige) strawberries? What kid doesn't love strawberries?!? (even strawberry jam!!)

I hated strawberries when I was a kid. Hopefully, Kimball will grow out of that like I did.
I agree that kids' tastes make no sense at all--I honestly believe some of it is texture and like Dad said, they often grow out of that. Weirdness!
Maybe dirt and garbage taste better than we know. Babys' tastes are odd.
Yes, the strawberry thing is very weird! Must be genetic from Granddad Smith.
Hyrum (Becky's oldest) would happily eat blueberry yoghurt mashed up with green beans (do NOT ask me how she came upon that particular concoction as acceptable, I have no idea), but turned up his nose at something common that I'm suddenly forgetting. I think it was peanut butter. PEANUT BUTTER!!! odd.

Okay, I have to clarify... Kimball DOES love strawberries; it was Paige who wouldn't eat them. She won't even eat jam! So weird to me. I'm hoping Kimball will outgrow the rice and pasta thing... as well as the garbage and dirt and dead moth thing.
Kids' eating habits? Some adults I know need to branch out and try new things!! (of course, soda, condiments, and pickles don't count. they're just yuccky.)
About the yogurt thing: I needed him to eat his beans, and when they're cut into little pieces, they're about the same texture as blueberries, and the flavor gets swallowed up by the berry flavor, so it's really not that awful. Right?
I highly doubt he'd eat it now, though.
Oh, and what's with the h in yogurt?
odd.
And yes, the dead moth thing can't go away too soon.
although bears climb thousands of feet up the sides of mountains just to get protein from little rock moths. Must be something good about them.
dirt has minerals.
let's focus on the garbage issue, I guess.
or maybe the issue of me being on the computer at this hour.
kids aren't the only ones who need to learn self-control...
seriously. and the most proper "English" spelling of yoghurt has an h. look it up. and I agree that hyrum would look askance at the combo now. ha ha
