Kimball is still funny!

The last couple of months have been HILARIOUS -- this is absolutely my favorite thing about kids this age!  I love so much the way their little minds work -- so sweet and crazy. :)

We really love to say "I love you as much __[fill in the blank]__" just before bedtime.  What can I say, I love to teach my kids the value of simile. :)  So, we had this conversation a couple of months ago:

Kimball: Mama, I love you as much as a ant.
Me: Kimball, I love you as much as a eleph-ant.
*both laughing*

The next night.
Kimball: Mama, I love you as much as a rattlesnake loves to SQUEEZE!

---------------------------------------------------------

Randomly, in the car, a couple of weeks after a Sunbeam lesson.  Kimball was apparently paying attention.

Mama, when your face is happy, those are RE-MOTIONS!

We were watching Winnie the Pooh (the new 2012 one), and Parker was trying out a new word he learned at school*.  Winnie the Pooh was in a dreamland of honey, and Parker said, "Mama, the honey land is Pooh's utopia."  I told him he was right, and he tried it out a couple more times.

Then, four or five days later, we were driving in the car and Kimball said, "Mama, home is my uh-topia."

Oh, melt my heart -- I hope home is always his uh-topia.

*NOT like when I tried out a new word I learned at school -- that was a sad, sad day for everyone involved.

The other day, Joel and I were lamenting the fact that one of our gutters has a little leak.  Kimball apparently didn't quite get the whole conversation.  This is what happened a little later that day:

Kimball: Mama, I killed a shark.
Me: Oh, good.  Then we'll be safe.
Kimball: And I ate it all up!
Me: You did?!
Kimball: But I took out all the tooths.  And the gutters.

Kimball comes by this naturally, like when his dad came in one day and told us, "Mom, that rose bush sharped me!"
