Parker gave a talk on Kimball's birthday this year. We didn't know about it until Saturday, so it was kind of a scramble -- but it was ground-breaking, because Parker came up with this talk all by himself! I told him the basic outline of a church talk (intro, scripture story, personal story, conclusion), and he filled in the blanks. Literally, these are his own words:
I can be a missionary now by serving others. That is a good way to be an example of one of Heavenly Father’s followers.
Ammon was a prince. He became a missionary. King Lamoni asked him to marry one of his daughters. Ammon said no. King Lamoni then asked Ammon to be his servant. Ammon said yes. King Lamoni told him to watch his sheep. While Ammon was watching his sheep, Sheep rustlers came and chased the sheep away. The other servants were afraid that the king would kill them. Ammon said to regather the sheep. After they regathered the sheep, the sheep rustlers returned. Ammon killed some of them. He cut the rest’s arms off. When Ammon got back, he prepared the King’s Chariots, as the King asked. The other servants told the King. I have decided to focus on service. Now I’ll talk about my Dad & service on his mission.
During my dad’s mission he taught a lady who had MS and epilepsy. She’d have attacks that were very scary, but he helped her learn the gospel, and also helped out when she had medical emergency. This was a great example of showing service.
I can’t be an official missionary now, but I can be a missionary for the church by serving others.

That's great! I remember the lady with MS and Joel talking about her. I can't believe that Parker can be a missionary in just 8 years!
Just a couple of years and that kid will be going to General Priesthood. Egad!
What a great kid! See, all those times parents talk, children actually DO listen!
