Why I Live in Springville

In our part of Springville, we get a TON of hoarfrost in the wintertime. I caught this view just driving down the road, and I thought it explained the reasons I live where I do:
  • Those GORGEOUS mountains! I love that I can see them from so many places in my house. And they're such a magnificent reminder of how much God loves his children. We LOVE hiking in the mountains!
  • The hoarfrost - it's such a beautiful, exciting thing to see on a frosty morning. It is the cold embodied.
  • Fields and fields of pumpkins, and horses, and cows, and hay... I love that I'm close to the city, but close to the farms at the same time.
And some of the reasons I love living where I do that you can't see:
  • My neighbors are SO great! Some of our favorite friends are here.
  • Our school does a Spanish Immersion program that can't be beat! Stewart and Paige get to go to school and have half their day in Spanish - no English allowed! For the teachers, that is. I think Stewart will have to speak Spanish only next year in school, but for now they're encouraged to speak Spanish but it's not required.
  • I love my house! It only took a couple of days to get used to it, and now that we're getting some pictures on the walls, it really is starting to feel like home.

There are a few things we don't like about where we live - but honestly, most of it is easily remedied by a trip to a neighboring city. We would love to live a little closer to my Mom & Dad, but Joel's work doesn't allow more than 10 minutes closer, so that's something we just can't change. And it's so nice being close to his parents.

So, if you're ever in the area -- look us up! And when you do, we won't blame you if you decide you just have to move here!

Well, it's not Bermuda, but you make Springville sound pretty good. Say hi to the hubby and kids for us.
