This morning, I was in the kitchen washing dishes and I heard this conversation:
Parker: Stewart, choose a hand. (I looked over, and he had two key rings in his hands -- a large pink one and a small blue one)
Stewart: Okay! I choose... that one.
Parker: No, not that one! Choose the other one.
Stewart: Okay, the other one.
Parker: Good job! You picked the pink one. The blue one is my favorite.
Also today, I figured something out that's been puzzling me. Paige loves animals and babies -- she always laughs and says "Hi" to them, even if it's her own picture on the computer! So, this past week she's been doing it every time we get into the car. We live pretty close to a field of horses, so I thought for a while that was what she'd been laughing at, but I couldn't figure out why she'd laugh when we didn't drive by that field. Today she started laughing even before her car door shut, and since we were parked in the garage, I knew there couldn't be any animal near, so I looked to see where she was looking, followed her line of sight and then the comprehension dawned -- she's laughing at her reflection in the rearview mirror!
