Yes, I thought I would finally make my first mark on this blog. Natalie does a great job, and since this is both our blog I thought I should probably post something. :)
So Natalie and I have planned a trip to Boston in March. I'm super excited as it will be a rare opportunity to spend quality time with my beautiful honey. We'll be leaving the kids at Grandma Baird's house for the duration of the trip. I'm certain Natalie and I will miss them terribly, but the flip side to that is so much time with only us to worry about (okay, so I know Natalie will worry about the kids the entire time we're gone, but what mother wouldn't?).
Speaking of the trip, when Natalie and I were looking at flights, I found that the cheapest flights with a layover were only 20 dollars less a ticket than a direct flight. I was enthusiastic, but Natalie said she wouldn't mind experiencing a layover to save some money.
For those of you who have flown and experienced the joys of layovers, you may be having the same reaction I did. I gaffawed, then said unequivacally "Missing the layover experience is a good thing, trust me!"
As my good friend Joe Haughey pointed out, since this will be Natalie's first time in an airplane it will be much easier for me to convince her to get on once instead of twice in one day. :)

Boston? Let us know if you guys want to get together for dinner one night.
AUGH!!!! I'm so nervous! I know it's probably no big deal for some people, but I am the QUEEN of wimps. I've never even been on a roller coaster or a ferris wheel! AUGH!!!! Freaking out here...
Also, Carrie -- we would LOVE to do dinner! I'm not sure what we've got planned with Christina right now, but we'll keep it in mind as we get closer.
What...? It can't be... you're invisible!! Hehe, Joel! *psssst by the way, I have some Lortab leftover from my oral surgeries in case you have to medicate Natalie on the plane... grin*
Hee hee...
"Honey, here's a drink of orange juice"
"I'm not thirsty"
"I made is 'Special' for you"
"No, thanks."
"But I think it'll help you for the flight..."
"What did you put in it?"
"What? I didn't put nothin' in it!"
:)
